St. Sebastian’s Major Archi-Episcopal Pilgrim Forane Church, located in Nedumkandam, Idukki, Kerala, has a rich history dating back to its establishment on January 1, 1952. A major milestone occurred on September 8, 2018, when Idukki Diocesan Bishop Mar John Nellikunnel laid the foundation stone for the new church. On January 18, 2024, Major Archbishop Mar Raphel Thattil blessed the newly completed church, elevating it to Major Arch Episcopal Pilgrimage status.

This event also marked the first installation for Zacs and Phils in a hill station. The church now boasts cutting-edge audio systems from top brands like Tannoy, Audio-Technica , Turbosound, Lab Gruppen, and Yamaha Professional Audio, delivering crystal-clear sound and enriching the spiritual experience for visitors.

Despite challenges with reverberation and minimal acoustic treatment, the installation team used innovative solutions and advanced technology, including FAST-equipped VLS arrays. For monitoring, the Altar and Bema were outfitted with Turbosound Milan 12 powered systems, while strategic locations used Audio Technica microphones and Behringer PK108A in the sacristy.

The selection of Tannoy VLS 30 speakers effectively covered the entire congregation area with clear, impactful sound. Feedback from priests and the church council praised the installation for its clarity and quality. Arch priest Rev. Fr. James Shouryankuzhi highlighted the importance of intelligibility and expressed gratitude for resolving speech clarity issues with the new system, enriching the sacred space for generations
