Online Instruments India Pvt Ltd Unveils India’s First CKD Interactive Displays Manufacturing Plant in Bengaluru

Online Instruments India Pvt Ltd, a leading provider of AV solutions for the past 3 decades, has proudly inaugurated India’s first Completely Knocked Down (CKD) Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPD) manufacturing plant in Dabaspete, Bengaluru. The grand opening event was a significant milestone, attended by industry partners, dealers, customers from all over India. The facility was inaugurated by Dr. K. Sudhakar, MP for Chikkaballapur, and prominent political leaders and dignitaries present were, Dr. C. N. Manjunath, MP for Bengaluru Rural, and Shri Iranna Kadadi, MP for Rajya Sabha.

This state-of-the-art facility represents a major advancement in the company’s efforts to enhance technology solutions, particularly in the field of education. The new plant will enable Online Instruments India Pvt Ltd to meet growing demand for innovative interactive display technology, supporting the company’s vision of leading technological transformation in educational and professional sectors across India.

The newly inaugurated factory by Online Instruments India Pvt Ltd spans 3 acres and is equipped with semi-robotic technology capable of producing 400 Interactive Flat Panel Displays (IFPDs) per day. These advanced displays, designed specifically for smart classrooms, feature superior image quality, enhanced touch sensitivity, and robust durability. The diverse product range is set to benefit a wide array of sectors, including educational institutions, government organizations, research and development labs, and more.

By manufacturing IFPDs locally under the “Make in India” initiative, the company aims to reduce costs and decrease reliance on international suppliers while maintaining high-quality standards. This move is expected to revolutionize the IFPD market in India, providing educators with innovative tools that will transform interactive learning and empower educational institutions across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Shivanand Mahashetti, Co-founder & CEO of Online Instruments India Pvt Ltd mentioned, “This is a landmark moment for both our company and the country. With this facility, we are not merely manufacturing products; we are laying the groundwork for India’s technological future, especially in the field of education.” He reflected on the company’s 30-year journey, starting with just one employee and growing into a robust team of 850 members. During his speech, he also highlighted his ambitious plan to launch an IPO by next year.

Mr. Mahesh Bellad, Co-founder & CFO, stated, “The opening of this facility is a major milestone, enabling us to manufacture world-class interactive flat panel displays locally, furthering India’s pursuit of technological self-reliance and empowering education.” He also emphasized that over 50% of the facility’s power will be sourced from sustainable energy through solar panels. Additionally, he proudly announced plans for the upcoming Online Instruments campus, set to span across 20 acres of land over the next two years.

As Online instruments is preparing to take the company public by September 2025, this will enable them to grow exponentially. Since the panels are going to be “made in India”, it will give the Integrators an edge over other brands in their Government projects. The Chief Guest, Dr. K.
