VEGA Celebrates 40-Year Milestone at Bangkok Gala

VEGA marked a major milestone in its corporate history by celebrating its 40th anniversary with an exclusive evening gala dinner at The Athenee Hotel in Bangkok. The landmark gathering brought together over 200 guests, including international clients, company leadership, team members, consultants, and vendor partners.

The evening commenced with a high-energy live drum and violin performance before transitioning into executive formalities led by the master of ceremonies. Beyond honoring four decades of growth, the event provided a platform to recognize VEGA’s extensive global network and outline its strategic vision for the future.

CEO Steve Medeiros opened the formal proceedings with an inspiring address, followed by a tribute to the company’s origins delivered by Founder and Board Member Laurie Chow. Reflecting on VEGA’s journey since its last major anniversary in Hong Kong ten years prior, Mr. Chow expressed deep gratitude to the global staff and partners who helped build the firm’s legacy. To mark the occasion, special commemorative gifts were presented to both leaders before the entire executive leadership team and regional managers joined them on stage for a group toast.

Regional perspectives were highlighted throughout the program, with Executive Director Molly Chow sharing insights on North Asia and empowering women in the AV industry, Managing Director Richard Johns discussing the establishment of VEGA Japan, and SVP and Managing Director for India and MEA, Blessing Joseph, detailing the company’s expansion across India and the Middle East and Africa. Industry recognition also took center stage as AVIXA CEO David Labuskes and Chief Global Officer Sarah Joyce presented VEGA with a special commemorative gift.

Guests enjoyed a multi-course dinner paired with live entertainment and an interactive prize draw featuring technology hardware sponsored by key partners. The successful celebration was supported by major technology partners including Absen, Crestron, Gude, LG, Neat, Q-SYS, Sennheiser, Shure, ViewSonic, and Yamaha. The night concluded with a venue-wide group photo and an immersive light show looking toward the company’s next chapter.
