A.B.I.S. 2026 to Bring India’s Evolving Media and Entertainment Ecosystem Together

Asia’s Broadcasting & Infotainment Show (formerly Broadcast India Show) returns to Mumbai from 22 to 24 October, reflecting the convergence of content, technology, production and experiences reshaping India’s media economy

India’s media and entertainment industry is entering a new phase of growth, with the boundaries between content, technology, platforms and audience experiences becoming increasingly fluid. Digital media has crossed the INR 1 trillion mark, while live events and emerging technologies continue to reshape how content is created, produced, distributed and consumed.

Against this backdrop, Asia’s Broadcasting & Infotainment Show (A.B.I.S.) 2026, formerly Broadcast India Show, will return to the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, from 22 to 24 October 2026. Organised by NürnbergMesse India, A.B.I.S. brings together the content, technology and infrastructure shaping the media and entertainment industry, spanning content creation and production, post production, broadcast, OTT and streaming, distribution, Pro AV, Pro Audio and the networks that connect content with audiences.

India’s M&E Growth Is Changing the Industry Landscape

India’s media and entertainment sector reached INR 2.78 trillion in 2025, growing 9% year on year. Digital media became the industry’s largest segment, crossing INR 1 trillion, while digital advertising grew 26% to INR 947 billion. Live events grew 44%, with the sector expected to reach INR 3.3 trillion by 2028.

As television and digital, physical and virtual experiences increasingly coexist, businesses are looking beyond individual technologies towards integrated workflows.

Sonia Prashar, Managing Director, NuernbergMesse India, said, “India’s media and entertainment industry is entering a phase where scale alone is no longer the differentiator. The real opportunity lies in how effectively the industry connects content, technology, platforms and experiences to create new value. A.B.I.S. 2026 is designed around that convergence, bringing the different sides of the ecosystem into one industry conversation.”

A Show Reflecting How Media Workflows Are Evolving

The A.B.I.S. 2026 exhibition floor will cover cameras and optics, production systems, virtual production, AI and automation, editing and post production, cloud media supply chains, storage and media asset management, OTT and streaming, IP based broadcast infrastructure, remote production and system integration.

The 2026 edition will also expand into Pro AV and Pro Audio, reflecting the growing use of broadcast technologies across enterprise studios, education, sports venues, live events and large scale installations. This broader scope reflects an industry where cameras, displays, audio systems, production tools, control systems and cloud workflows increasingly cross traditional boundaries.

Technology Meets Industry Dialogue

Beyond the exhibition, A.B.I.S. 2026 will feature a conference and knowledge programme bringing together broadcasters, creators, technology specialists and business leaders to examine the forces shaping the sector.

Rajat Nigam, Group CTO, JioStar and Network18 Media & Investments, said, “A.B.I.S. plays an important role in an evolving media ecosystem, providing a platform for industry professionals to connect with peers, exchange ideas and engage with emerging technologies.”

As India’s media and entertainment industry continues to expand across screens, platforms and experiences, A.B.I.S. 2026 will provide a meeting point for the technologies, businesses and professionals shaping what comes next.
