Alphatec launches Symetrix’s Cognio Platform in India

Introduces the next generation of distributed intelligence AV architecture in India. Mumbai, August, 2026: At an event held in Mumbai, Alphatec Audio Video Private Limited showcased and launched Symetrix’s Cognio Platform in India. The Cognio Platform enables a decentralized system design thus reducing reliance on centralized hardware thereby allowing systems to scale up through software updates rather than capex heavy hardware updates, ensuring effortless growth and adaptability. Pioneering the patented wire-free design workflow, the Cognio DesignOps software eliminates repetitive tasks, enables design work reuse, and provides offline emulation so that deliveries are faster, helping integrators meet tighter deadlines. Cognio allows the production of engaging user experiences that include attractive control screens without coding. Symetrix’s Cognio Platform was created to give consultants, integrators, and end users a more flexible way to design, deploy, and manage AV systems around the needs of the application, not the limitations of fixed hardware.

Cognio is differentiated by its distributed intelligence architecture, which moves beyond the limitations of traditional processor-centric AV systems. Rather than concentrating intelligence into a few centralized devices, Cognio enables processing, control, Dante audio, and web-based access to exist throughout the system. This allows systems to scale more naturally, reduce centralized points of failure, and adapt more easily as projects grow or change. Other major differentiatorsinclude true prehardware emulation, code-free control interface creation, reusable system design elements, and unified workflows from design through operation. Therefore, designers can validate systems before hardware is installed, identify issues earlier, and reduce on-site commissioning time.

Symetrix sees Cognio as the foundation for a broader shift toward software-driven, scalable, networkbased AV systems. As AV continues to converge with IT, customers increasingly expect systems to behave more like software platforms: adaptable, extensible, interoperable, and capable of improving over time.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Mark Graham, CEO Symetrix said, “For Symetrix, Cognio is more than a product launch. It represents the next chapter of our company and our vision for the future of professional AV. We believe the industry is moving away from rigid, processor-centric systems and toward distributed platforms that can grow, adapt, and improve over time. Cognio is designed for that future, giving AV professionals the freedom to design around the experience they want to deliver and giving end users systems they can trust for years to come.”

“Alphatec is delighted to bring forth this revolutionary technology from Symetrix to the Indian AV ecosystem. The Cognio Platform with its plethora of advantages will go a long way in supporting AV designers and Integrators deliver world-class hassle-free solutions in tighter timelines. We are sure that this series of solutions will greatly develop the way AV solutions are offered and integrated in the country and thereby scale up audience experiences to a whole new level”, said Mr. Devasis Barkataki, Managing Director, Alphatec Audio Video Private Limited during the launch in Mumbai.
