Otters Club in Bandra, Mumbai has upgraded the audio experience at its popular OTR Bar with a Meyer Sound system designed to deliver exceptional clarity, balanced coverage, and high-impact performance while preserving the venue’s sophisticated interiors. The project was undertaken in an operational hospitality environment, making minimal disruption and precise execution key considerations.

A major installation challenge was the venue’s existing false ceiling, which offered limited clearance between the slab and ceiling. Accessing suspension points and routing cables required innovative rigging techniques and meticulous planning. The system was also designed to achieve maximum sonic performance with a minimal visual footprint.

Meyer Sound’s MAPP 3D simulation software was used to model the room acoustics, speaker positioning, and coverage patterns before installation. This enabled the team to optimize loudspeaker placement according to the room layout, projector screen orientation, and operational requirements.

The final system comprises three ULTRA-X20 compact full-range loudspeakers for the main coverage, supported by two UP-4slim units for fill zones. Low-frequency reinforcement is provided by one USW-210P and two USW112P powered subwoofers, while a Galileo GALAXY 408 processor handles system tuning, optimization, and management.
